Your financial data in Qayd is encrypted in transit and at rest, and nobody at Qayd browses your books. You own your data, and you can export or delete it at any time.
How we protect your data
Encrypted at every stage
Your data is encrypted as it travels between your device and our servers, and encrypted again while stored. Alongside that we apply pseudonymisation following established best practice, separating your personal identifiers from your financial records.
We do not look at your books
Your records are not available for the Qayd team to browse. Access is scoped to your company's workspace, and you alone decide who joins it.
Workspaces with defined roles
Each company gets its own workspace. Invite your accountant, your business partner or your staff with the permissions you choose. Data never crosses between workspaces.
Your data belongs to you
Export your books whenever you want, or request permanent deletion. No lock-in, no hostage data.
Never sold, never shared
We do not sell your data, share it with third parties for marketing, or use it for advertising.

The most common question before typing a shop's real numbers into any app is: who else will see them? The short answer is you, and anyone you explicitly grant access.
Our security practices
- Encryption in transit: every connection between your app and our servers runs over an encrypted channel.
- Encryption at rest: your data is stored encrypted on our servers.
- Pseudonymisation: we separate personal identifiers from financial records following established best practice, so financial data cannot be attributed to a specific person without additional information held separately.
- Workspace isolation: each company's workspace is isolated from every other; data never crosses between them.
- Per-member permissions: you invite the accountant, partner or employee, and you decide what each of them can see. Access can be revoked at any time.
- Least-privilege technical access: technical access is limited to what running the service requires, and does not include browsing customer books.
- Financial-software standards: we follow the data-protection practices established for accounting and finance software.
